The racing pace of technological change is leaving many people with questions about how technology affects our world, and ultimately, affects us. Today, people are once again looking to Marshall McLuhan for some answers. This disc explores the ideas and life of the University of Toronto professor who gave us the phrases, “the medium is the message,” and “the global village.” Fully interactive, the CD-ROM uses more than an hour of video, three hours of audio, hundreds of photographs and graphic images, and over 3,000 screens of text to illuminate McLuhan’s theories and their relevance today.
